Key Features of the KX06

All-terrain Stability

At heel strike, KX06’s unique design offers superb geometric stability. It's excellent on varied terrain, whilst retaining easy initiation of flexion. Additionally, the polycentric nature of KX06's 4-bar design, acts to shorten the limb length during swing phase, resulting in improved ground clearance, which helps to prevent trips and falls. Inherent hydraulic characteristics of the KX06 knee allow it to naturally adapt to the wearer's speed, providing a smooth and predictable experience on both slopes and stairs.

Robust Design

The updated design of KX06 prosthetic knee is sleeker, tougher and shorter in build height. Its aluminium frame, with strengthened bearings, makes KX06 even more robust, and able to support a 150kg wearer. The self-aligning bearing system protects the cylinder from side loads, increasing the durability of this hydraulic knee.

Comfort and Style

A stylish silicone cover provides a clean look, as well as protecting the KX06 prosthetic knee. The large, 160-degree flexion angle makes it easier for wearers to move their leg in confined spaces, such as in the car, or under a table.

Multiple User Modes

KX06 provides the opportunity to switch from normal operation to either flexion lock, or a 'free-swinging' cycling mode. Flexion lock, when engaged, locks the knee on flat or sloped terrain, and allows for more even loading. This not only delivers improved stability, but it also helps to improve the wearer's posture, by relieving pressure on their sound limb and lower back.

Easy to maintain

KX06 can cope with challenging environments, from water, to dirt, and sand. Don’t worry about that muddy bike ride – just rinse with fresh water and dry!
